Responsibilities of the Drupal Developer


Work closely with clients, subject matter experts and project team in the development of database driven Web sites.

Design, develop and maintain Web sites and Web-based solutions utilizing Drupal and other Web-based technologies.

Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet aggressive deadlines.

Participate in design and architecture of software to meet business requirements.

Maintain hands-on development and evolution of the front-end of various internal and customer-facing PHP / Drupal web properties - themes, nodes, modules, panels, etc.

Develop and implement modules in PHP and Drupal supporting web application functionality as necessary to meet requirements and design.

Iterative design, development and support of Drupal and PHP modules.

Integrate back-end web services with Drupal and PHP based front ends.

Create and maintain Drupal database reporting using MySQL.

Provide documentation as required and participate in code reviews, planning sessions and routine status standups.

Requirements of the Drupal Developer


Minimum 5 years of Drupal Development experience with Drupal Administration Exposure

Strong front-end knowledge (JS, JQuery, CSS3, HTML5)

Some knowledge of JS framework (Angular JS, Backbone JS)

Expertise with SCSS, LESS, SASS CSS preprocessor language

Expertise with Drupal 7 core modules and contributed modules

Experience with theming and template overriding, responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility and accessibility/disability requirements (Section 508) preferred

Module development and GIT experience desired

Database programming experience, using one or more of Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL or other relational database

Experience working with APIs, integrating with external web services (REST, XML, JSON) or 3rd party tools

Working knowledge of the LAMP stack

Experience working on migration of Drupal 7 sites to Drupal 8
